About

Natalie Anderson is a creator, art teacher and community artist.

Since graduating with a BA in Visual Arts in 1994 and later a Bachelor of Teaching in 1998, Natalie has worked with primary and high schools, community groups, special needs students, councils, Aboriginal students and multicultural services in Western Sydney.

Co-ordinating a Youth Arts Program at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for 11 years, she had the opportunity develop programs for hospitalised young people and the wider community.  The underlying belief that creative participation can improve wellbeing is carried with her into all facilitation roles.

Most recently, she taught children’s and adult classes at Hazelhurst Arts Centre for 5 years, where she specialised in Mixed Media, Mosaics, acrylic painting for high school aged students, painting and drawing for adults.

Involvement with education programs also saw her teaching Primary students and adults with Dementia.

With a passion for anything creative, Natalie is continually trying new mediums and artmaking processes and encourages her students to continually experiment and play to develop their creativity.
